They went into the living room, which was off a big hall. When Daddy Mack opened the door, there were newspapers spread over the ancient carpet with about 3-4 inches of little gold-colored pellets all over the floor. The preacher gasped and whispered, "Mr. Mack, is that really gold?"
"Well, at two dollars and a half a bushel, it may as well be," Daddy Mack said. It was crimson clover seed, spread to dry.
Today, Farmer Danny was transferring today's gold -- corn stored in the corn bin.
