Some years back, Chuck Yeager used to advertise spark plugs during the NASCAR races on TV. In his charming drawl, he would exclaim, "Far Pear." I asked Daddy Senior, "Can you say Far Pear?" and he would invariably say, Fi-yuh Pow-wuh. For those of you not familiar with regional speech in Carolina and South Georgia, that's Fire Power for the rest of you.
